So far, we have all shared our favourite moments of Christmas and our favourite presents.
We have talked about the North Pole and the Arctic and begun to read some 'snowy' stories and poems, including 'The Snowman' by Raymond Briggs and a poem about A Snowman coming to Tea!
Some children then enjoyed making their own tea party for a snowman. They decided it was his birthday! They thought of some special snowman food and drink and party games they could play - like a frozen sandwich, iced chocolate drink and musical icebergs!
In maths we have done lots of counting and estimating and we have looked at numbers above 10 - the teen numbers. The children had great fun making teen numbers with their toes and fingers!!!
We also enjoyed singing lots of different number rhymes.
Next week we're hoping to go on an expedition to the arctic to find the lost polar bear. Could the children please bring a hat, scarf and gloves if they have them on Monday and Tuesday?
Could you please save any 4 pint milk cartons for us as we're going to try and make a giant igloo!!
Please bring them in over the next few weeks - thank you.
Also could you bring in some photos of your child as a baby, toddler and now, for us to make into little books. Ideally copies of photos that we can keep would be great, but otherwise we can copy photos and return them to you.
Many thanks for your support.
