It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

We’ve had a magical last few weeks in Class 1!

The children performed a beautiful Nativity – great singing and dancing – well done Class 1! Thank you parents for all the lovely costumes you provided – the children looked amazing!

This week we have enjoyed making Christmas cards for our mums and dads, and magic reindeer food . Don’t forget to sprinkle this on your lawn or path on Christmas Eve !

On Monday afternoon we had a fun Christmas Party! Thanks so much to parents for providing all the food. We played lots of fun games and really enjoyed ourselves.

We have been overwhelmed by your kindness this Christmas and your cards and gifts are much appreciated by us all – thank you.

We hope you and your children have a very Happy Christmas and wish you the very best for 2017! We look forward to seeing you in the New Year.

Best wishes, The Class One Team

Christmas is coming!!

This week we have been starting our Christmas celebrations.  The children have written their letters to Father Christmas and made many different decorations to put up in class.

The children have also noticed a magic door in class on Friday morning.  Then in the afternoon they had a special delivery from Father Christmas.  This said that the door was for the Elves to come in and visit to see their work.  He also sent us some Santa Cams so he can see if the children are being good.

Nativity - Wednesday at 2pm and 6pm.  Please make sure your been to the toilet before the evening performance so they do not need to go during it.

Home Learning - Next 1/2 term we are looking at the Arctic.  Please could you work with your child over the holidays to create a fact sheet about an Arctic animal.

Festivals and Christingle

We've had a very busy and fun last two weeks in Class 1: Mickey Mouses' birthday celebrations, learning about the American Thanksgiving and the story behind this celebration. We also read a delightful story about friendship and a little Pilgrim girl.
We finished the week with a beautiful Christingle Service in Church followed by the Christmas Fayre to get us in the mood for Christmas. We've also started learning the songs for our Christmas Nativity and next week we're going to start practising in earnest!

We're looking forward to meeting parents and children to discuss their learning at our conferences next week.

Enjoy some of our beautiful festival displays so far and thank you to Miss Rayner for her hard work with these:
