This term we are looking at books by Julia Donaldson and focusing on the area of Personal, Social and Emotional Development.
We've started ordering the story, making stick puppets of the story and using the mud kitchen to make all sorts of Gruffalo food!
Today we made some 'Gruffalo Crumble' and this afternoon we had an extra snack to sample the crumble and 'Snake Ice-Cream'!! Yes we do know that it was Owl Ice-Cream in the book, but we were being creative!
We've also learnt the Gruffalo song. We did think it was roasted fox for school dinner today .........
We've also fitted in learning about one less and how to record this as a subtraction sum.
Great work Class 1!!!

Wow class 1 you have been very busy. Your gruffalo crumble looks delicious. Have any of you ever been to the gruffalo trail? We like to visit Thorndon Park and do the trail and then have a walk in the woods.
