Well done everyone for your wonderful World Book Day costumes! In Class 1 we had lots of fun: in the morning we read 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' and made a huge map of the journey. We then turned our map into a graphic musical score and used it to create a musical version of the story - it was wonderful!
In the afternoon we used one of our favourite stories - 'Lost and Found' by Oliver Jeffers - as the inspiration for our activities. We made clay penguins, retold the story in our own words with coloured pictures and used plastic junk modelling to make our own boats. We even tested if they would float! We drew penguins using instructions written by Oliver Jeffers - see if you can draw one at home with this link:
