Global Warming and Igloos!

We've had a fun first week back at school.

The children have found out about Global Warming and ways we can slow it down - they did some great writing on this. We read the story 'The Polar Bear's Home' and looked at a web site for children about Global Warming.

Then it was outside to build our igloo from recycled milk cartoons. It was a real team effort by children and class 1 adults. Our thanks also to some Year 6 children who helped to get it finished on wednesday!

We've also been very excited to observe the ducklings hatching and have looked at the life cycle of a duck and started making Duck Diaries!

So much fun in our first week! Enjoy the photos below .....

Wow what a busy week you have had class 1. I was so impressed with the fantastic igloo that you built. I couldn't have made anything that looked even half as good. We have really enjoyed visiting the ducklings in class 2. I think they have started to grow already. I was really surprised to see how big ducklings feet are at such a young age. I hope you have another exciting week.
