What a lovely week...Also a sorry message

To all Parents,

Sorry that your children did not get back their homework book on Friday.  This will be given to them tomorrow.

If you get time could you please sit with your child and draw a map of their journey to school.  This can be brought in any day this week.

Sorry again.

Otherwise it has been a packed week, 'Pirates took Mr. Wainwright'.  The children had to write posters to ask people in school that if they saw pirates could they come to the class and let us know. The writing the children produced was lovely, it really caught their imaginations.  The children have been fishing this week to work on their addition skills, this was a very inventive lesson and the children all tried hard on their addition skills.

For 'Thinking Things Through' maths this week the children had to work in pairs to create a life size robot.  Their remit was that the robot had to have arms, legs, a body and a head.  This was a fantastic lesson and to see how the children worked with their partner was wonderful.  They really listened to each other and we ended up with robots that had ovens for tummys and ones that used what they ate for energy, they even split up the bad food and the good into different parts.

  1. Molly says, don't worry about the homework book, she had a lovely weekend playing in the sun instead! Those robots sound fantastic. Could class 1 design a robot that tidied up the dinner hall after lunch, that would please Marlene immensely.
